‘Til the End (feat. Sarah Bonsignore) releases on November 17, 2023!

This song is a special one to me.

My high-school music teacher Sarah Bonsignore, was the person who opened the door to me to the world of songwriting. It wasn’t until the senior of high school that I’d taken her class. I honestly wasn’t that into music around the time.

I went to high school on the Upper West Side of NYC, and being from the Bronx, it was a pretty far commute, and it was difficult for me to really fit in. I wasn’t the most social of people, and because of that the only other things I really involved myself with outside of schoolwork were music and athletics. I had started playing the guitar the year before high school, and to force myself to grow in my low-skill level, I had joined the jazz program at my school, and found myself as the 3rd-string guitarist at the beginner jazz class. Nevertheless, I stuck with it for a while, but I eventually left the program after my junior year due to a concussion I received during wrestling practice.

I was still sorta into music around my senior year, but I did not want to join a full band setting like the jazz program, so I signed up for Mrs. B (Sarah Bonsignore)’s songwriting class, very unsure of what would come of it. It was a brand new class, so there wasn’t anyone I could really talk to for advice on the class. However, I didn’t sweat it too much since it was only an elective, and I’d rather spend my anxiety worrying about college applications.

Little did I know that this would end up becoming one of my favorite classes in all of high school. Unfortunately, though, I was a senior, which meant that unless I failed all my classes and got held back, I wasn’t going to be able to take that class again the next year. However, the seniors graduated a few weeks before the school year ended for the rest of the school, and since I liked that class so much, I ended up attending the last few classes to finish up the course after graduation.

After graduating, I went to college at a military academy in upstate New York, where I was pursuing a degree mechanical engineering. Music wasn’t really on my mind, and I was likely going to completely give it up. However, out of the blue, one of my classmates (Adey) from that course sent me a message to let me know that she was grabbing lunch with Mrs. B. (Mrs. B had moved to Nashville shortly after I graduated, and Adey was now going to college in Nashville). Over text, we reminisced over the great experience of that class, and then Mrs. B invited me to go visit them in Nashville. However, because of the demanding nature of the academy, I never seriously considered actually going down to Nashville.

It wasn’t until my senior of college (2 years later!) that I made the trip to Nashville. It was not even in my plan to go, but after a few friends had to back out of a huge spring break Euro-trip, I wanted to find something to replace my now vacant spring break plans. So I contacted Mrs. B and Adey, and went down to Nashville for the first time, and I had an amazing time there. So much so that I went back two more times that year after I had graduated and commissioned into the Army.

One of those trips occurred while I in the middle of my officer training course in Oklahoma. There wasn’t much to behold in the area that I was staying, so I decided to take a trip to Nashville for quick reset and refresh. On my last day of that trip, I felt the urge to write a brand new song, but all I had on my mind was a short guitar riff and a melody. I played what I had to Mrs. B, and all of sudden, 15 minutes later, we had somehow finished writing ‘Til the End. I had to leave for my flight shortly after, so we quickly recorded vocals and piano for the song so that I could finish the production.

‘Til the End was written with the theme of “wedding” in mind. It is a song about enduring loyalty and commitment, even during the hardest of times. I hope it can be an anthem for your engagement, wedding, anniversary, or just as a celebration of a long-lasting loving commitment.

It releases on all platforms on November 17th, 2023.
